MODESTO – The trio were tying to sell various electronic equipment from their black Pontiac Grand Prix. They traveled to “various parking lots along the Sisk Road corridor.”
A MPD officer spotted and stopped the vehicle. Inside their car they carried “various stolen electronics.” One victim identified one of the suspects as
someone who had stolen from them.
In fact, several victims had their items returned to them. One victim is a teacher whose laptop had the student’s grades on it. The press release says “he was happy to have it returned” so he could submit student’s test scores the next morning.
The arrestees are –
- 28-year-old Fairfield resident Ronnie Harper;
- 26-year-old Vallejo resident Javari Harper;
- 28-year-old Pinole resident Antoine Sampson.
All three have a charge of receiving stolen property. Both Harpers also have burglary and conspiracy charges. Sampson also has a conspiracy charge.
Finally, the MPD reminds you “to be alert to any suspicious activity, especially in and around our shopping districts.” Also, “please do not leave valuables in vehicles especially in spots where they can be easily seen by thieves.”
