ATASCADERO – Although he just wanted a bottle of water, taking it and threatening the store clerk turned it into a crime.
On Wednesday afternoon Joseph Sage Bramon, perhaps in a fit of thirst, entered the Hitching Post Shell on Moro Road.
Bramon stole a bottle of water. Then he threatened the clerk, saying he had a gun. Responding officers found Bramon nearby, but he refused to comply and fled.
To make matters worse, the suspect then stopped and assaulted his pursuers. This action earned him a taste of the Taser.
The APD press release says that Bramon also earned “multiple felony” charges.
