SANTA CLARA COUNTY — The Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Sexual Assault Unit has made an arrest of two women, one who described herself as a “Sexual Deviant.” According to Sgt. Richard Glennon, “Detectives arrested Talia Sisco and Tina Pourani for having unlawful sexual intercourse.” The victims are 15 and 16-year-old boys.
On June 14 law enforcement arrested Talia Sisco at her home on multiple criminal charges. The charges included multiple counts of Oral Copulation of a Minor and multiple counts of Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor. Additionally, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, and Arranging a Meeting with a Minor to Commit a Sex Offense.
Also on June 14 SCSD arrested Tina Pourani of San Jose. Her charges are Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor and Oral Copulation of a Minor.
Authorities believe that the self-described “best friends” victimized at least three young high school students. Furthermore, evidence collected from their personal computer may reveal a fourth victim.
Sisco was a student-teacher at Bernal Middle School at the time the sexual assaults occurred. During the investigation, interviews with the victims produced evidence of a graphic sexual nature. Because of this evidence, the Sheriff’s Office Sexual Assualt Unit contacted the Oak Grove School District. The District terminated Sisco from her teaching position at the school.
“The protection of our children is always a top priority for our agency,” said Santa Clara County Sheriff Laurie Smith. “I am grateful these predators were brought to justice.”
She added, “It’s absolutely outrageous that they think this is ‘funny’ — this is a crime, and they are predators.”
The investigation is still ongoing. The Sheriff’s Office Investigators ask any persons with information regarding the above suspects to contact the SCSO Detective Unit at 408-808-4500. Alternatively, you can contact the Sheriff’s Office Investigative Services anonymous tip line at (408) 808-4431.
