RICHMOND – A narcotics trafficking network made up of a trio of brothers ran into a law enforcement roadblock recently.
In the first place, tips from the community to the RPD got the ball rolling. They ended up seizing $90,000 in illegal narcotics and $80,000 in cash.
Detectives, conducted a 3-month long investigation. In the process of the investigation, “detectives discovered that the narcotics trafficking network expanded to San Francisco and Alameda Counties.”
Although investigators arrested 8 suspects in all, the main suspects arrested in the trafficking case are three brothers.
The arrestees are –
Eduardo Chirinos Viera – 26 yrs. old from Richmond;
Jorge Chirinos Viera – 29 yrs. old from Richmond;
Julio Chirinos Viera – 33 yrs. old from Richmond.
In addition, law enforcement arrested 5 other suspects and charged them for various narcotics violations.
The raid “recovered cocaine, heroin and methamphetamine with an overall street value of $90,000, and $80,000 in cash.”
The RPD said, “The department is proud of the detectives’ collaborative efforts and perseverance in this case. We also appreciate members of the community who were involved in this investigation. Together, we can make our community safer.”
