Task Force Arrests Career Criminal With Loaded Gun And Meth For Sale

POMONA – Pomona PD’s Major Crime Task Force partnered up with the Crime Impact Task Force for a gang suppression detail. Gathered intelligence pointed to a known felon, Lee Vaughn of Pomona.
In the first place, armed with a search warrant, officers responded at about 1:30 PM yesterday to the suspect’s residence. This was on the 700 Block of E. La Verne Ave.
Subsequently, Corporal J. Hernandez, Major Crimes Task Force announced the result. He said, “Officers located a shotgun, several live ammunition rounds and a large amount of meth packaged for sales.”
Consequently, Vaughn’s charges are –
- Felon possession of a firearm;
- Felon possession of ammunition;
- Possession of firearm while in possession of narcotics;
- Possession for sales of narcotics.
Cpl. Hernandez concluded, “The City of Pomona is dedicated to addressing quality of life issues. (We) often use partnered Law Enforcement agencies to accomplish one common goal of ensuring the safety of our community.”
