SALINAS – The SPD summed up this case by declaring, “Community involvement led to this case.” Because of that, they made numerous arrests from one residence.

On June 20, SWAT, CHP and other detectives descend on a home on the 500 block of Victor Street. Furthermore, they came with a narcotics search warrant.

48-year-old Faustino Dorado saw them approach and ran inside and locked the door.  Therefore this necessitated a “forced entry.”

In summary, law enforcement brought 16 people out of the house and arrested 7 on various charges. They discovered heroin, meth and evidence of drug sales in their search of the residence.

In addition, “Officers also located an illegal gambling machine containing cash in assorted bills. Salinas Code Enforcement assisted on scene, ‘red tagged’ the residence and will be conducting follow up compliance verification.”

SPD arrested the following people  as a result of the search warrant service:

  • Faustino Dorado (48), Resisting Arrest and Probation Violation;
  • Johnny Camel (49), Possession of Controlled Substance for Sales – Heroin and Methamphetamine;
  • Ashley Ramirez (28), concealed a small amount of heroin and methamphetamine in a body cavity, Possession of Heroin and Methamphetamine;
  • Joseph Caldwell (27), felony arrest warrant;
  • Darrell Camel (21), felony arrest warrant, and four misdemeanor warrants;
  • Todd Blair (55), two misdemeanor warrants;
  • Andrea Johnson (27), five misdemeanor warrants.
