POMONA – The Major Crimes Task Force and the Crime Impact Task Force brought the heat to a gang suppression detail. Consequently, a large narcotics bust and arrest resulted from the operation.
Armed with a search warrant, the agencies partnered up and paid a visit to Steve Terrones-Rivera (36) of Pomona.
Gathered intelligence pointed them to the residence on the 3900 Block of Hampton Drive. Overall, the officers located –
- over one pound of Methamphetamine;
- 26 grams of Heroin, 84 grams of Cocaine; and
- a large amount of Ecstasy packaged for sales.
Subsequently, Corporal J. Hernandez of PPD’s MCTF announced, “As a result of the items recovered during the search warrant, we placed Terrones-Rivera under arrest for the following charges:
- 11378 H&S- Possession for sales of narcotics
- 11351 H&S- Possession of controlled substance
Cpl. Hernandez added, “The City of Pomona is dedicated to addressing quality-of-life-issues and often uses partnered Law Enforcement agencies to accomplish one common goal of ensuring the safety of our community.”
