ANTIOCH – Police suspect a man booked in jail on July 10 of committing two murders last week. The suspect knows
both victims—a mother and her daughter found mortally wounded at their home.
Police received reports of several gunshots at a home located on the 4400 block of Delta Fair Boulevard at 4:28 a.m. on July 5. Responding officers located two severely wounded women there.
The younger victim, Milan R. Ardoin, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts to save her life.
Ardoin’s mother, Valinda R. Scott, 55, later died at a nearby hospital.
Police quickly identified a suspect for both murders. Authorities obtained an arrest warrant on the following day. However the suspect, Oakland resident 35-year-old Dontay Williams, wasn’t apprehended until four days later.
Oakland police officers located and arrested Williams at his residence on July 10. He remains in custody, ineligible for bail.
Williams faces charges from the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office for the murders of both women. However, it’s not the first time Williams is in trouble with the law. Williams was arrested in April 2017 for battery on a spouse.
