MERCED – Firstly, on the evening of June 30 the MPD conducted a gang member probation search. Moreover, the GVSU (Gang Violence Suppression Unit) led the search.
Banksflores’ gun and such
The object of their search – 21-year-old Gregory Banksflores, in the 1800 block of Demoss Court. Overall, in the search they discovered “an assault rifle, ammunition, a Billy club and pepper spray.”
As a convicted felon, Banksflores cannot own firearms. Therefore, officers took him to jail.
His charges –
- possession of an assault rifle;
- felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition;
- possession of a Billy club;
- possession of pepper spray;
- gang enhancements.
