REDWOOD CITY – The pair of men went to a 7-11 to make a purchase at 2:00 am. It soon became a gang showdown and stabbing.
It was Saturday June 30 at 460 Woodside Road. The two entered the store, while two other men were already inside. The pair inside began confronting the would-be customers, threatening them and yelling gang slurs.
Then the encounter continued outside, devolving into a fight and a stabbing.
Responding RPD officers came upon 24-year-old Justin Guidici and 32-year-old Abran Gutierrez. However, Gutierrez fled and remains at large.
Guidici faces charges including felony assault with a deadly weapon and participation in a criminal street gang.
RPD said, “The stabbing victim received a significant injury to his torso and required emergency surgery. He survived the ordeal and is recovering.”
Guidici obtained release through posting nail, but police rearrested for the warrant. His new charges included illegal fireworks and possession of cocaine and meth possession.
“Suspect Abran Gutierrez was not apprehended and remains at-large,” says the RPD.
