VALLEJO – A man threatened another man and his three boys with a loaded handgun at Bud’s Market on July 25.
The man picked up his 14, 12 and 7-year-old from Wilson Park and went by the store. it is at Starr Avenue and Benicia Road.
While the family was in their parked car, 26-year-old Ramonte Johnson approached them. During a “verbal altercation, the suspect pulled a loaded handgun and pointed it at the victim and his children.”
Johnson fled and the man called 911.
Then investigators were able to identify and arrest Johnson at his home.
Our deputies investigated the incident and were able to identify and arrest Johnson, who had ran back to his home.
A search warrant helped investigators find the gun, still loaded.
The victim positively identified Johnson.
“We are grateful everyone, especially the three kids, are safe and we were able to get another gun off the streets!”
