NORTH LAKE TAHOE – Police arrested five burglars who apparently hit the same house twice in one week.
Deputies responded to the home on Sacramento Avenue in Homewood first on July 24. Burglars broke in and “stole numerous items, including a Mercedes-Benz” form the garage.
The, on July 29, it happened again. An “alert citizen” called the police after seeing two men and a woman as they slowly drove by. Then the trio parked in a driveway and break into the back door of the residence.
Noises emanated form the garage. Then the garage door opened, and
there stood 37-year-old Erica Travillion with some stolen items.
42-year-old Roger Travillion came out right behind her with a flat screen television. Erica complied, Roger didn’t….at first. Officers report that “Roger eventually came out with his hands up.”
But wait, there’s more. 45-year-old Christopher Strickland went running out the back. A nearby barking dog helped alert deputies to Christopher hiding in the bushes. As a result, three down.
After more investigation, detectives went to a home in South Lake Tahoe where they located the stolen Mercedes.
They also located and arrested 46-year-old Brian Zendian and 38-year-old Jonathan Scott for the July 24 burglary.
Here are the various bail amounts –
- Erica Travillion – $95,000;
- Roger Travillion – $230,000;
- Strickland – $220,000;
- Scott – $120,000
- Zendian – $312,000.
