SAN JOSE – The SJPD arrested four suspects wanted in multiple carjacking’s, armed robberies and car theft.
Police arrested three males and one female after a brief car chase, assisted by Air3 following the suspects. It ended when they parked the stolen vehicle near Prevost Ave in the Willow Glen area of San Jose.
A call came in reporting a blue van, which had been stolen in the early morning, abandoned near Bird Ave.
This led police to the area, where patrolling officers spotted a second stolen vehicle. The stolen Mitsubishi Endeaver carried the four suspects reportedly committing purse robberies and car jacking’s within the San Jose area.
Patrolling SJPD officers immediately gave chase, backing off as they sped away. Air3 support lead them to the 15000 block of Prevost Street. This is where the four suspects abandoned the vehicle and began to flee through the backyards of multiple residential homes.
SJPD officers set up a perimeter around the area. After a brief search, officers were able to quickly capture two suspects who were hiding in the backyard of a residence.
Police took two adults into custody and booked them into the Santa Clara County Main Jail for armed robbery. The pair stole a purse from one victim. They also stole a second vehicle from a driver earlier that afternoon. Authorities booked the two juveniles into Juvenile Hall for lesser charges.
