VACAVILLE – VPD had an exciting evening recently that started with a motorcycle going 74 mph on Elmira Road.
An officer tried to stop the speeding cyclist, who would have none of it. The high speed chase began. However, he had several strikes against him.
One strike was his distinctive motorcycle design and jacket. In addition, other officers in radio contact. Also, a CHP airplane above kept track of the proceedings.
Even more, citizen reports kept law enforcement on track. The suspect got to Anchorage and Sawyer Drive and got off of his bike and ran away.
Most noteworthy. K-9 Russell joined the fray and tracked 30-year-old Taylor Hansen to a backyard. Police used no force to arrest Hansen.
His charges are for felony evading and violating probation.
