AUBURN – A License Plate Reader (LPR) now operates at the corner of Auburn Folsom Road and Indian Hill Road. On August 11 close to 7:00 p.m. indicated it scanned a stolen vehicle.
the APD said, ‘The LPR Camera is a specially designed camera and software package. It is able to scan passing license plates and compare it to a list of known stolen vehicles. When it detects a license plate contained on that list, it sends an electronic alert to officers and the dispatch center.”
This is exactly what happened as at dispatch center confirmed the alert. A 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee rode in stolen in Auburn.
Officers located the Jeep in a driveway in the 1900 block of Gina Louise Drive.
Consequently, officers arrested 33-year-old Roseville resident Lorena Brazovan. Apparently she randomly drove into the driveway, perhaps to elude police.
Her charges are vehicle theft, possession of stolen property. She also has an outstanding warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Her bond is $35,000.
