MONTEREY – A 19-year-old male apparently has had sexual contact with at least seven underage victims. In May, deputies received information of possible inappropriate sexual activity that involved an adult and a juvenile.
They named 19-year-old Madera resident Angel Eduardo Vasquez as the suspect in the crime. “Angelo” worked as a janitor at Gonzales High School in Monterrey County.
Therefore the MCSO took over the investigation. A three-month investigation ensued that revealed numerous victims. Further investigation put the number at “seven underage victims.”
Investigators had an interview with Vasquez on August 17 in which he “admitted to pursuing numerous underage girls between the ages of fourteen and seventeen. Also, to having inappropriate sexual contact with them.”
Therefore investigators arrested Vasquez, who now faces charges of “numerous sexual related offenses.” His bail is $200,000.
Vasquez has lived in Gonzales, Soledad and Greenfield.
“The Sheriff’s Office asks any additional victims to come forward. Anyone with information about Vasquez or any possible additional victims is asked to contact Investigator Javier Galvan at 831-755-381. Also, or Detective Sergeant Bryan Hoskins at 831-755-3773.”
