K-9 Hondo Helps Discover Crim, His Gun and Drugs in Various Cavities

SHASTA – K-9 Hondo and his fellow officers arrested a man on September 6. The arrest occurred in the recent burn area of Ranchera Road and Hill Boulevard.
After 1:00 a.m. a deputy spotted a vehicle with an expired registration. A traffic stop introduced the officer to the vehicle’s occupants, including passenger Marshall Crim.
Crim has an outstanding warrant for a probation violation.
K-9 Hondo arrived and searched the vehicle. Crim carried a sawed-off shotgun in his backpack. In addition, deputies also found a meth pipe with some meth still in it.
Crim’s charges include felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a short barreled shotgun and his outstanding warrant.
At the jail, the suspect alerted deputies to the ounce of meth he had in his groin area.
Furthermore, Crim then told them he had a mix of meth and heroin “in his anal cavity.”
Therefore, additional charges included possession of narcotics while armed, possession of heroin and of meth.
