COALINGA – An elderly man killed his elderly wife. The call for help came shortly before 10:30 AM on September 14, 2018. But when Coalinga Police Officers arrived at the home on the block of 300 Jefferson Street, it was too late.
Officers found a woman, 81, fatally wounded from a single gunshot. The weapon was located and booked into evidence while her husband, 84-year old Clarence Kozlowski, the only other person at the scene, was taken to the police department for questioning.
After questioning, investigators ruled the case a homicide and charged Kozlowski with murder. They booked him into Fresno County Jail. Fresno County Homicide Detectives are a part of the investigation.
Investigators have not determined a motive. They have ruled out a gang-related motive. This is Coalinga’s second homicide in six weeks.
