Rapper Forgot Lines, Left with Mom and Grandmother, Fired Shots

CHICO – After rapper Deshawn Taylor forgot his lines, it went downhill for him at the after party. It was 1:00 a.m. on September 6 in front of Duffy’s Tavern when CPD officers arrived.
The report came in that someone brandished a gun at the 300 block of Main Street location. An arriving officer heard several shots fired.
Witnesses identified the shooting suspect as he ran away. Cops caught him “around the corner” of 4th Street. They also found a gun nearby. The gun they found turned out to be stolen.
Two people suffered “non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to their extremities.”

After a rap concert at the Senator Theater, there was an after party at Lost On Main. As Taylor rapped at the after party, bouncers removed him from stage when he “forgot the words to his songs.”
Taylor got into a verbal fight inside the bar and showed a handgun in his waistband. Bouncers escorted him out of the bar, with his mother and grandmother.
As he walked away he got into “another verbal altercation with a different group of subjects.” Then Tyalor waved his gun around and later fired it before trying to flee.
The 23-year-old suspect faces he follwoign charges –
- Assault with a deadly weapon/firearm – 245(a)(2)PC;
- Possession/carry a stolen firearm – 25850©(2)PC;
- Felon in possession of firearm – 29800(a)(1)PC;
- Carrying a concealed weapon/firearm – 25400(a)(2)PC;
- Exhibition of a firearm – 417(a)(2)PC;
- Possession of ammunition by prohibited person – 30305(a)(1)PC;
- Violation of probation – 1203.2(a)PC.
