COARSEGOLD – A throat slasher attacked a man on August 28 at 4:30 p.m. Deputies responded to Apache Road and Road 417 and discovered the 34-year-old male victim.
The vicitm provided a description of his attacker. He also identified him by name.
That night at 10:15 p.m. deputies received a call concerning a trespasser in the 47000 block of Delaware Court. Soon they arrested Samuel James Rodriguez and booked him for violation of his Post Release Community Supervision.
However, that was not the end of it. The next morning another victim reported an assault form the previous night. A 45-year-old male also received serious injuries. His physical description of one of his attackers matched Rodriguez.
In addition, he also identified Joe Perez as his second attacker.
Finally, detectives found the 51-year-old Perez and arrested and booked him as well.
ROdriguez is charged with two felony counts of attempted murder and attempted arson.
