Santa Barbara – A man with white pride leanings apparently also had burglarizing tendencies. Local law enforcement knows 53-year-old Michael Orric as a “white nationalist with a lengthy criminal record.”
He was on probation when authorities executed a search warrant at his residence on October 3rd.
SBPD officers and SBCSD narcotics detectives, suspecting Orrick was involved in burglaries in the Santa Barbara area, served the warrant on the Alameda Avenue house where Orrick was taken into custody “without incident.”
But the search of the premises didn’t stop with Orrick’s arrest on suspicion of involvement in local burglaries. Once inside, deputies made contact with 36-year-old Goleta resident Daniel Fletcher, a felon currently on parole. They quickly determined that Fletcher was in possession of “a tackle box containing more than eight grams of methamphetamine.” It also had assorted packaging materials, scales, syringes, and other narcotics paraphernalia.
Orrickk has an extensive history of having served time in Santa Barbara County Jail for prior offenses. He also has a unique online social media presence in which he posts images of himself holding various weapons and urging “white pride.” His charges are second degree burglary and probation violation. He remains in custody without bail.
For his part, Fletcher’s charges are possession of methamphetamine for sale and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.
