Ventura County – A double stabbing occurred early on October 31st in the city of Ventura. Ventura Police Department patrol officers responded to a call for service at a residence on Cedar Street.
Upon arrival, cops discovered two stabbing victims, one male, and one female. According to the VPD Watch Commander, “the suspect had fled the scene” prior to the arrival of law enforcement. While the two victims suffered non-life threatening wounds, they were transported to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment.
The ensuing investigation included witness statements from both victims and from others at the scene. Those statements indicated that both victims and their assailant were acquaintances.
A brief investigation sent investigators “to a residence belonging to the suspect,” who was identified as 23-year-old Ventura resident Gabrielle Nett.
Ms. Nett was contacted by uniformed patrol officers and detectives, whereupon she was taken into custody without incident. She was then transported to Ventura County Jail, where she was booked on multiple charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon, and false imprisonment. She remains in custody without bail.
