SANTA ANA – Homicide Detectives from the Santa Ana Poilce Department arrested a juvenile suspect in the stabbing homicide of Esteban Daniel Andres (19) of Santa Ana.
Initially, SAPD Officers responded Tuesday at 3:01 PM to a “Stabbing, Victim Down” near 1700 North Wright Street. Responders located two stabbed victims – an adult male (19) and an anonymous juvenile (17). The suspect had fled the scene of the crime.
Next, Orange County Fire Authority Paramedics treated and transported both of the victims to a local trauma center. Doctors declared the adult deceased at 4:07 PM. The juvenile victim sustained wounds that were non-life threatening.
Subsequently, SAPD Homicide Detectives responded to assume the investigation. Surveillance from multiple locations revealed video footage of the altercations.
One attack took place on the 1400 block of E. 17th St. The second attack happened in a nearby parking lot. One of the videos showed the suspect stabbing the victim.
Although the investigation is ongoing, a suspect has been arrested and taken into custody. At this time that suspect has been identified only as an anonymous juvenile male (17). So far, no motive has been ascertained for the altercation and stabbing.
