EUREKA – The Eureka PD made multiple high profile arrests last week.
On November 6th, shortly after 7:30 am, officers received a call about a stolen vehicle. While the report was being taken, other officers searched the area for the vehicle, and soon spotted it.
They stopped the vehicle in a business parking lot on the 1700 block of Broadway Street where they subsequently arrested 35-year-old Tyrell Shane Conforth who was the sole occupent of the vehicle. Conforth reportedly had a loaded shotgun in the front seat of the stolen vehicle. The shotgun was also stolen, out of Siskiyou County.
Conforth’s charges are vehicle theft, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of stolen property and “other associated charges.” His bail is $75,000.
The next day, November 7th, at approximately 10:00 a.m., a bank on the 300 block of F Street called the Eureka Police Department about a robbery that had just taken place. The robber had reportedly handed the teller a note demanding money.
Responding officers “immediately located the suspect outside of the entry/exit doors of the bank.”
31-year-old Tracey Dontaye Drew was arrested with the envelope of stolen money in his possession.
Drew was charged with robbery and has a $50,000 bail.
