SHASTA – 70-year-old Wade Pershall had a warrant served on his Shasta County property on November 8th at 7:00 a.m.
The search warrant came as the result of an investigation of Mr. Pershall and his participation in drug sales.
Various corresponding agents arrived and detained Pershall and an unnamed female while they executed the warrant.
K-9 Thor also came to assist in the search. Thor “alerted his handler” to a spot of ground in the detached carport, signalling the presence of drugs.
Sure enough, deputies and agents discovered a hole in the ground of the carport. Inside the hole they discovered 3.2 pounds of meth and $6,000 in cash.
Pershall was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance for sale.
