FAIRFIELD – In early November, an enforcement stop was conducted by Fairfield Police Department officers in the block of N. Texas Street.
The result of the stop was the confiscation of three guns – one was stolen and two were unregistered.
19-year-old Nathan Rhines was arrested and “booked on weapons and drugs violations.”
This arrest spurred further investigation into possible gang ties and further criminal activity. On December 6th detectives conducted another enforcement stop in the 800 block of Jackson Street.
This time they confiscated two illegal firearms and more controlled substances. 19-year-old Joseph Benitez and 21-year-old Joshua Saavedra were arrested on drug and weapons charges.
