WOODLAND – A jury has found 19 year old Dylon Dion Davies, of Davis to be guilty of driving under the influence of Marijuana, stemming from an incident that took place on October 17th 2017. According to the Yolo County District Attorney’s office, Davies, allegedly drove under the influence of Marijuana, during which time, he caused a traffic collision.
Specifically, Davies “made a left hand turn against a red arrow traffic signal.” Thankfully no injuries resulted.
Davies was found to be under the influence of marijuana, and a blood test confirmed the presence of active THC in his blood.
On December 6th of this year, after a three-day trial, Davies was convicted by a jury. Although the press release states that “Judge Fall sentenced Mr. Davies the same day,” it did not mention specifically what his sentence is.
OTS Director Rhonda Craft states that “Impaired driving remains a serious issue that puts lives at risk.” In addition Craft notes that they ” are please to work with the Yolo County District Attorney’s office to make sure that those who choose to drive impaired are held accountable for their actions.”
