Gregory Jolley is Sole Suspect in Stabbing Death Investigation
POMONA – A suspect who fled after killing a man in his bed was arrested on Wednesday.
Pomona Major Crimes Detectives had been searching for suspect Gregory Jolley (51) of Pomona since December 10th at 5:48 AM when officers responded to a stabbing incident on the 1200 block of W. Grand Ave.
James Estrella (55) of Ontario had been stabbed in the torso. Life-saving measures by L.A. County Fire Dept. were not enough to save his life.
Investigative Services Division/ Major Crimes Unit Detectives later ID’d Jolley as the sole suspect. Jolley had allegedly engaged in a dispute earlier in the evening with the victim.
“On December 12th, Investigators received information that Gregory Jolley had been arrested by the LAPD on unrelated charges,” said Pomona PD Detectives. “The Investigators are currently presenting the case to the LA County District Attorney for filing consideration. As of now, Jolley is being held by the LAPD pending their investigation.”
Arrested for 187PC-Murder, the suspect awaits his fate.
