On December 26th, Tulare County Sheriff Detectives pulled over a driver for a vehicle code violation near Ave 48 and State Road in Earlimart. Josue Magdaleno Martinez, the 37-year old driver, was driving unlicensed but faced much serious charges when police searched the car and found a half pound of meth. He was booked into the Porterville Substation.

Detectives further delved into Martinez’s background and linked two separate Delano area homes to him. With granted search warrants in hand, they combed through the homes and found five pounds of heroin, another pound of meth, and a quarter pound of cocaine. In addition to the drugs, detectives found $45,000 in cash. The money and drugs are now in an evidence locker.
Martinez faces felony charges related to possession of meth, heroin, and cocaine with intent to sale, and for transporting controlled substances. He is currently at the Visalia Adult Pre-Trial facility with bond set at $2 Million.
