VACAVILLE – On Christmas Day, 36-year-old Clinton Wood decided to drive a vehicle that he had stolen. Around 3:00 p.m., CHP Air received a Lo-Jack notification near Alamo Drive.
Responding officers received another hit on their in-car Lo-Jack system. This time it directed them towards Nut Tree Road.
Officers continued to converge in the area, and one of them recognized a white pickup truck that matched the description of the stolen vehicle.
Officers soon cornered the truck on Natick Court, where officers stopped it and detained the driver, Mr. Wood, and his occupants.
When the victim came to retrieve his truck, he had a case on his arm. Apparently when Wood stole the truck at a 76 gas station, the victim ran after him and tried to stop him. Instead, he fell and broke his arm.
VPD says, “Unfortunately, the victim watched as his truck drove away and had to spend his Christmas morning getting a cast put on his arm.”
Wood was charged with felony possession of a stolen vehicle.
