DIAMOND SPRINGS – A home on Sunlight Drive in the Diamond Springs area was the scene where a search warrant was served in late December.
El Dorado County law enforcement had been conducting an investigation into “illegal narcotics sales.” from the home.
The search of the home resulted in the discovery of heroin, methamphetamine, fentanyl patches, and a 2000 ml IV bag containing 75,000 micrograms of fentanyl.
A trio of suspects were arrested – 24-year-old Cierra Kirby, 36-year-old Jeffrey Young and 51-year-old Daniel Roenfeldt. They face multiple charges including possession of controlled substances for sale and maintaining a known drug house.
The EDCSO says, “Fentanyl is approximately 1000 times stronger than morphine and was originally designed as an animal tranquilizer. Fentanyl has gained popularity on the illicit market due to its potency and the growing demand stemming from the opioid crisis in America.”
