Adult, Three Minors Arrested For Gang-Related Narcotics Sales Conspiracy, Loaded Firearms

AZUSA – The Azusa Police Department made multiple arrests for weapons and narcotics offenses in recent days. The arrests were made on Sixth Street and Cedarglen Avenue just after 7pm on January 21st Azusa PD investigating officers arrested a group of four males – one adult and three minors.
“During the contact, the investigating officers discovered that two of the subjects were carrying concealed handguns and two others were on probation for gang-related activity,” said Azusa PD.
The adult gang member, Abraham Garcia (DOB 5/7/2000) of Riverside, had been arrested at this same location earlier that day for Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor (272 PC). After his release from Azusa PD Jail, he returned a few hours later to meet with gang-related Azusa minors.
Officers encountered Garcia and one 15-year-old gang member, each with a loaded handgun. They both were arrested for 602 WIC/ 25850(C)(3) PC Gang Member Carrying a Loaded Firearm.
“One of the 16-year-old juvenile subjects had been arrested by the Azusa Police Department on two previous incidents where he was in possession of a firearm within the past year,” said investigators.
Investigators also discovered cocaine and marijuana, and arrested the two 16-year-olds for 602 WIC / 182(a) PC Conspiracy to Sell Illegal Narcotics.
As a result, Garcia is back in the Azusa PD Jail, and the three boys are in holding at Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall for the gang-related crimes.
