He was born with the name Kentrell Gaulden. Since that time, in his 19 years, he has adopted a new moniker, with variations. He wants to be known as NBA Youngboy. The NBA stands for “never broke again.”
The rapper from Louisiana found himself in trouble with the law, again. Recently, on Monday afternoon in Atlanta, at the Hyatt House on 431 Marietta Street, YB and his lady friend Starr Thigpen apparently assaulted hotel staff who came into what they thought was an unoccupied room.
Thigpen is accused of punching one of the workers in the face. This incident earned the pair a charge of two counts of disorderly conduct and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Gaulden has been arrested before. He was charged with attempted first-degree murder in 2017 and plead guilty to aggravated assault with a firearm. He has since been on probation for three years.
He was also filmed in 2018 on a hotel camera beating his then girlfriend and slamming her to the ground, which at the time also led to a kidnapping charge.
