Rapper Rich the Kid Assaulted, Robbed, Shots Fired Near WeHo Recording Studio

WEST HOLLYWOOD – An Instagram post by rapper Rich the Kid (Dimitri Roger, age 26) featured him standing in front of a blue Lamborghini while flashing bundles of money in trendy West Hollywood, also known as WeHo. He entitled the post, “Always in bank mo deposit.”
News travels fast, and soon thereafter, three male suspects arrived to lighten his load. The suspects robbed and assaulted Roger and his two companions at 3:13 PM on the 7200 block of Santa Monica Blvd. The suspects then fled westbound in their vehicle, as multiple shots were fired by an unknown male suspect.
West Hollywood Sheriff Deputies arriving at the robbery scene encountered three black male victims who’d been confronted by three black males. The suspects demanded their money and jewelry, then assaulted the victims in an alley behind a nearby business.
“The victims were treated at the scene for minor injuries,” said LASD Deputy Trina Schrader. “No one was transported to a hospital.”
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station Detectives.

Usher was reportedly recording nearby in the esteemed Westlake Recording Studio where Rich the Kid was also booked to record.
