PERRIS & MORENO VALLEY – It was a very busy crime day in two Perris neighborhoods. A store in a shopping center on the 2500 block of N. Perris Blvd. was the scene of an armed gunman demanding money on February 18th at 4:11 PM.
The quick-thinking victim took the license plate number of the black hatchback sedan as two suspects sped away.
Six minutes later, a second robbery attempt took place on the 100 block of East Ramona Expressway, in Perris.
The armed gunman was true-to-form, entering the store to demand money. Again, the black hatchback sedan ferried the two suspects away.
At 5:01 PM, Moreno Valley PD responded to a robbery call on the 25000 block of John F. Kennedy Drive, Moreno Valley. A pizza delivery driver was confronted and robbed at gunpoint.
As the suspects fled in their usual way, the Moreno Valley officers relayed the information to the Perris PD.
The black hatchback sedan was located at 10 PM on the 1000 block of West 7th Street, Perris. Officers ID’d the two suspects from Perris: Gustavo Felix (22), and Edgar Salazar (23).
“Felix and Salazar were arrested without incident” said Sergeant Jason Edmondson, “and later booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for armed robbery.”
