FOLSOM – On Tuesday February 26th a man was assaulted at the Safeway on Iron Point Road. It began when the victim saw a woman stealing items from the store.
The victim began taking pictures of the woman, her vehicle, and the license plate on it as she walked out of the store and tried to drive away.
Then, a man jumped out of the car and chased the victim, putting him in a choke hold, assaulting him, and stealing his wallet.
Using surveillance video from the store, officers were able to identify 19-year-old Yamni Plagensclarin of Rescue as the attacker.
On February 27th detectives arrested Palgensclarin in Placerville. He now faces robbery charges.
Plagensclarin is no stranger to law enforcement. Earlier this year, on January 17th, Plagensclarin was arrested for drunk driving at Greenback Lane and Folsom Auburn Road. His other charges at that time included child endangerment and possession of methamphetamine.
