CLAREMONT – Claremont Police Department Officers responded to a 3:50 AM alarm at Stix Ride Shop at 175 North Indian Hill on Saturday February 23rd. There, they encountered a smashed front shop window and a trail of blood.
The blood trail led to a nearby suspect sporting a price tag hanging off of a Stix Ride Shop beanie.
Investigation revealed additional loot hidden in a nearby trash receptacle: a stolen skateboard, two shirts, and a baseball-style cap. Bryan Garcia, (18) of Pomona was detained without incident.
The burglar was placed under arrest for commercial burglary and possession of stolen property, with $20,000 bail at Claremont PD Jail.
“All the property was recovered and returned to the business owner,” said Council Member Ed Reece.
