ANDERSON – It was a normal morning on Highway 273 around 5:00 am on March 4 when a patrolling deputy noticed a vehicle driving with an expired registration.
With his lights and siren going, the car then slowed down onto the right shoulder…..but didn’t stop. Instead, the driver and his passenger threw a “large package” out of the car. Then, 35-year-old Sara Maxine Skidmore, the passenger, also jumped out. The vehicle sped off and other officers joined the pursuit.
The chase, often at 90-miles-per-hour speeds, wound through Cedars Road and Highway 273. The vehicle pursuit ended on the dead ed road of Evans Lane. The suspect jumped out of the moving vehicle and escaped.
The package tossed out of the car contained “four large baggies of suspected methamphetamine, with a combined weight of 108 grams.” The car also held drug paraphernalia and items belonging to 31-year-old Mary Anthony Hense, who has a “felony warrant out for his arrest for drug charges.”
Hense is a 5’8″ white male weighing 180 pounds, with short brown hair.
“If anyone has any information regarding the location of Hense, they are urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at (530) 245-6540.”
