SPRING VALLEY – On the afternoon of March 1 two men robbed someone in front of Giant Pizza King at 1029 Elkelton Boulevard.
The two black males approached the victim and displayed a handgun, then used physical force to remove a wallet and a cell phone from the victim. Then the duo ran away.
Soon, however SDPD airship spotted two people matching the description of the suspects who, upon seeing that hey had been spotted, took off their sweatshirts (one red and one black) and began breaking through wooden fences and running through residential backyards nearby.
Deputies on the ground arrived and set up a perimeter. The suspects then entered the unoccupied residence at 737 Parkbrook Street. The two then responded to deputies’ command to come out and were arrested.
20-year-old Tejon Smith and a 17-year-old juvenile were arrested and charged with armed robbery.
