REDDING – Near 11:00 pm on March 2nd a nude man walked along Lake Boulevard, and several citizens understandably called the Redding Police Department about it.
Then, adding to the situation, calls came in that the man was also trying to fight citizens. Bystanders helped arriving officers locate 39-year-old Dustin William Clemens.
Clemens then took a fighting stance with the police. However, he was no match for the officer’s batons and pepper spray. Once under police custody, officers observed that Clemons was “demonstrating symptoms of being under the influence of a central nervous system stimulant.”
The suspect’s arrest history includes domestic violence, vandalism, battery, and current probation for resisting an executive order.
Arresting officers “were exposed to Clemens’ feces.” After his medical clearance, Clemens was booked for public intoxication, resisting arrest and a probation violation.
