Track Coach Arrested For 3 Years of Sex with His Minor HS Student

ROSEMEAD – A three-year, on-and-off sexual relationship with a minor and her Rosemead HS track coach was reported on Febraury 22. The 18-year-old described weekend sex with her coach, who would drive her to his home on the 400 block of Sandia Avenue in La Puente.
The track coach established a close bond with the confidential victim. All of this commenced in March of 2015. Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Victims Bureau took over the investigation.
Fidel Camarena Dominguez (37) of La Puente was arrested Friday, March 1, at Rosemead High School for Unlawful Sexual Intercourse with a Minor and Oral Copulation of a Minor.
“On March 04, 2019, the Pomona District Attorney’s Office filed twelve felony counts against the suspect,” said Deputy Trina Schrader. “(6) Lewd acts on a child 14 or 15yrs old, 288 (c)(1) PC; (3) Oral Copulation with a minor, 288a(b)(2) PC; (2) Dissuading a victim from testifying, 136.1(b)(2) PC; and (1) Unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, 261.5(c) PC.”
The male Hispanic is currently being held in lieu of $400,000 bail until the hearing at Pomona Court.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department – Special Victims Bureau is tasked with investigating the sexual and physical abuse of children and felonious sexual assaults involving adult victims.
