Convicted felon drives while talking on phone….with loaded gun, meth

SUTTER – A simple traffic violation, turned much more serious for a 49 year old Yuba City man. The Sutter County Sheriff’s Department pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation on March 15th.
Officers made contact with the driver, later identified as 49-year old James Lino. A records search performed during the stop indicated that Lino had a criminal history, and as such he was subject to search. The subsequent search produced illegal narcotics and a loaded firearm.
Therefore Lino was arrested and booked at the Sutter County Jail. He now faces charges including being a felon in possession of a gun, carrying a concealed weapon, felon in possession of ammunition, carrying a loaded firearm, possession of meth, possession of paraphernalia and driving while talking on a wireless device.
