CLAREMONT – Council Member and former Police Commissioner Ed Reece announced the April 24th arrest of three burglary suspects in southeast Claremont. A “Burglary-in-Progress” call on April 24th lead Claremont Police Department Officers to the 500 block of Converse Avenue.
Officers located and detained three suspects in the nearby area. It was confirmed that one residential burglary had occurred. A nearby, second burglary attempt had also taken place.
Investigation quickly linked the three suspects to the crimes, along with word of an outstanding fourth suspect. Claremont PD K-9 immediately sprang into action. A police helicopter hovered overhead as four other agencies joined the hunt, but the suspect managed to disappear.
There currently is an ongoing, active follow-up search for the fourth burglary suspect-at-large. The wanted man is described as a male Hispanic, about 5’10, 150 pounds, short hair, wearing jeans and a white T-shirt.
“If you have any information about these crimes, please contact the Claremont Police Department at (909) 399-5411,” urged Reece. “Reference the report number, DR #19001150. As always, remember that if you See Something, Say Something! #claremontpd #edreece #claremont #police”
