KERN COUNTY – On Thursday May 2nd five different locations on Wildwood Road were served search warrants as part of an operation to locate and close illegal marijuana grow sites.
The execution of the search warrants, resulted in the discovery of “several large marijuana grows on a 78-acre property.” In all, 11,395 marijuana plants were seized, as well as two shotguns and two rifles.
36-year-old Jose Luis Naranjo Soto and 52-year-old Marcelo Flores were arrested on site and charged with conspiracy to maintain a residence to sell narcotics and cultivation of marijuana.
The agencies involved include the Kern County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team, along with Cal-MMET, HIDTA, KernCATT and Kern County Code Compliance.
