On Monday May 6th of 2019, an assault occurred at 4th and I Street in Modesto. The victim, only identified thus far as man in his 40’s, is in stable but critical condition in the hospital, suffering from significant injuries sustained during the assault.
A witness on-scene identified 26-year-old Martel Hill of Modesto, as the assailant who attacked the victim after a verbal dispute.
The next day, Martel was arrested on charges of felony assault and booked into the Stanislaus County Jail. Jail records show that Hill’s bail has been set at 2 million dollars and that he currently remains in custody as of May 21st.
