CELEBRITY/LOS ANGELES – A grand jury returned an indictment against Eric Ronald Holder Jr. (dob 11/21/89) for the fatal shooting of rap artist Nipsey Hussle, and wounding two others.
The indictment returned one count of murder, two counts each of attempted murder and assault with a firearm, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon, reported The Los Angeles County District Attorney.
The South Los Angeles shooting of Ermias Asghedom, aka Nipsey Hustle, took place March 31st outside the beloved community supporter’s clothing store. Two men were also attacked before Holder fled the area.
A manhunt located and arrested Holder two days later in Bellflower. The indictment, unsealed May 21st, also includes allegations that Holder personally used a handgun and caused great bodily injury and death. Deputy District Attorney John McKinney of the Major Crimes Division is prosecuting the case.
Holder pleaded not guilty to charges. The pretrial hearing at Foltz criminal Justice Center is set for June 18th. LAPD is conducting the ongoing investigation on case BA475908.
A possible maximum life sentence awaits. In the meantime, bail is set at $6.5 million.
