MILL VALLEY – When you’re a convicted felon on probation for possessing a firearm, you don’t have the clout to tell a police officer they can’t search your car, especially when the registration has expired.
The unnamed suspect was pulled over on the Redwood Highway Frontage Road. The deputy asked the driver if he was on probation. But, “the driver told the deputy that it wasn’t a big deal and that he couldn’t search his vehicle.”
He was wrong, and the subsequent search of his vehicle produced meth, a digital scale, and small baggies.
The suspect now faces new narcotic charges, as well as probation violation.
