LUCERNE – An assault at Alpine Park brought Lake County Sheriff’s deputies on scene to investigate. A 54-year-old male victim received a “severe head injury” during the incident and he remains in critical condition at this time.
The suspect, reported to be a male in his 20’s, approached the victim and was yelling at him about urinating in front of children. The suspect proceeded hit the victim in the back of the head and then ran away.
Through witnesses statements, the suspect was identified as 26-year-old Taylor Rolan Fabisch. The next day deputies contacted Fabisch, who admitted to being at the park but denied the assault.
He was arrested for battery with serious bodily injury and his bail is set at $30,000.
