Ventura County – 30-year-old Sheala Bruns, a resident of the City of Ventura was arrested on the evening of June 21st following what Ventura County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Det. Sgt. Guy Moody reported as “a month-long investigation into the narcotic trafficking activities” at her residence.
It was approximately 9:00 p.m. when detectives attached to the VCSD Narcotics West County Street Team made contact with Bruns in the carport area of her residence “while simultaneously executing a search warrant on her residence.”
After a search of her person, vehicle, and residence—during which detectives discovered “methamphetamine and heroin possessed for sales, several digital scales, U.S. currency indicative of narcotic sales, a .45 caliber handgun, high capacity magazine, and ammunition—Bruns was taken into custody.
Bruns was then transported to Ventura County Jail, where she was booked on charges of possession of methamphetamine for sales, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of heroin for sales, being a felon in possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition, and possession of a high capacity magazine.
Her bail was set at $50,000, which she promptly posted and was released pending her arraignment at Ventura County Superior Court on July 9, 2019.
