A 33-year-old transient male was arrested in Garden Grove the middle of the night for sexually assaulting an 87-year-old disabled and dependent elderly woman in her home.
Around 1:30 AM on Friday, June 28, 2019, the homeless man allegedly broke into the home of the victim and her other family members, located at the 8500 block of Lampson Avenue.
The woman’s granddaughter awoke to noises coming from her grandmother’s room. When she went to find out what it was and saw the suspect sexually assaulting her grandmother, she yelled for other family members to come help.
They chased the suspect into the backyard, where they detained him until Garden Grove Police arrived. Police then arrested the unnamed suspect and booked him into Orange County Jail.
